Iceland was challenging. After originally planning to visit in May but having to reschedule, I did a 3-day stopover at the end of September. Had I known how many other tourists there were, or how much driving there would be without anywhere to pull over to enjoy the sights, or how much it rains, I might not have gone.

But when the clouds open up... Maybe it was worth it.
